myConnect

myConnect is one of the four core Business Networking Programs of myBIZ, launched in August 2020. Initially held in person every Tuesday, the program transitioned to virtual meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, myConnect hosts physical networking events every fortnight at the myBIZ Secretariat. We are proud to celebrate our 150th Networking Meeting milestone at the Mandarina Hotel, Colombo 3 on the 18th September 2024..

Leadership Team

The myConnect Leadership Team (LT) consists of eight members who meet regularly to coordinate event details, including setting dates, securing sponsorships, inviting Guests of Honor, assigning roles, and finalizing the program. Responsibilities also include organizing the Master of Ceremony, Know Your Member (KYM) sessions, business presentations, and other program elements.

Networking

Business networking involves building positive relationships with professionals from various industries. myConnect meetings, held every other Tuesday, are designed to help members and guests connect, share insights, receive mentorship, and foster strong business relationships. The goal is to enhance connections that drive business growth.

Motto

The motto of myConnect is "Give & Grow." Members are encouraged to actively participate in networking sessions with the intent to give, which often leads to receiving valuable opportunities in return. "Giving" includes engaging in Get-to-Know sessions, responding to specific asks and referrals, promoting member products and services, sharing new trends and opportunities, and introducing new members. It’s a reciprocal process where giving leads to greater benefits.
